Dong Ning

Dong Ning was born in 1963 in Chongqing, China. She has loved drawing since she was young. In the early days her works were influenced mainly by traditional Chinese art. Later in the 80s she has been greatly influenced by western contemporary art. In her learning process she traveled across China from Chongqing to Beijing, Nanning, Xi’an. in search of masters that she could learn from and interned at the Sichuan Academy of Arts, Chongqing Construction University and Guangxi Arts College.

She has participated in numerous art exhibitions and won may awards. Her works has been sold to private collectors from Asia, Europe and USA.

In 2004 she moved to the Artists Village in the outskirts of Beijing.
